Power Rangers Movie Review

I recently went to see the new Power Rangers Movie. It wasn’t campy which was a change from what it was like in the original movie and the series as well. The movie itself included a character who was on the autism spectrum then also included a LGBTQ character which is great. I thought how they focused on Billy’s abilities verses the disability. Bryan Cranston was great as Zordon. Bill Hader was awesome as Alpha 5. As a fan of the OG Power Rangers I thought the retelling of Power Rangers was great and it was definitely less campy from what I noticed. I feared what the movie would be like since I enjoyed the original movie when it came out in the 1990’s.

Elizabeth Banks made Rita Ruplasa as evil and ruthless which is so different from what Rita was like in the original and I honestly figured that there would be vast changes to the characters and the story telling of Power Rangers. I hope the film does well.

If you are a fan of Power Rangers definitely check it out.
