The closing nights film is called How Sweet The Sound: The Blind Boys of Alabama. It’s a beautiful documentary. We loved it and the director spent 10 years documenting The Blind Boys of Alabama. We were thrilled that this film was the closing nights film. The band is great. We even managed to get a photo with them as well.

We do want to see all the films at ReelAbilities go far so their audience can grow and even show that having disabilities isn’t the end all be all. The festival brings people together to show amazing films and bring the disability community together.

We can’t wait to go back next year for their 10th anniversary of ReelAbilities.
