Kesha Request for Sony Music Contract Termination Denied

According to an article from ABC News, pop singer Kesha was denied her request for termination of her contract with Sony music following a lawsuit that was filed against her then producer Dr. Luke for an alleged sexual assault then counter sued for defamation but the case was later dismissed last year.  

     In court proceedings for the record company termination request, Kesha who’s real name is Kesha Rose Sebert sat with her mother in the back of the courtroom.  According to ABC News, NYC Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied the singer’s request for termination.

Kesha will remain under contract with Dr. Luke’s Label Kemosabe Records, under Sony and according to the singer’s contract she is required to record six more albums.
